You can easily make date balls with raspberry yourself. Making date balls is also a lot of fun to do.

This is such a nice snack to have in stock. I prefer to make them on the weekend, put them in the fridge and grab one every now and then. Also great to take 1 or 2 with you during a working day for the 4 o'clock moment for example. This time I added cinnamon, which makes for a delicious spicy taste.

Are you already familiar with freeze-dried raspberry? The taste is fantastic and the product is high in fiber. I've written about it before, but I often take this snack abroad when I travel. Due to the dehydration, this snack weighs next to nothing, while the nutritional value is still largely the same. A really big advantage!

THE INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 gr dates

  • 15 gr freeze-dried raspberries

  • 1 el cinnamon

  • 50 gr almond flour

  • 1 el maple syrup

THE PREPARATION:

  • Blend the dates in a sturdy food processor. Mix this with the almond flour, cinnamon and maple syrup to form a firm ball.
  • Make 10 equal balls of this.
  • Blend the raspberries in the food processor until fine. Roll the date balls in this, so that they get a nice red layer.
VARIATIONS AND MORE FOR DATE BALLS WITH RASPBERRY:
  • Instead of freeze-dried raspberries you can also use grated coconut. So choose what you like better.
  • I chose to mix almond flour with the dates for a nutty flavor. You can also choose regular nuts, but it is important that you chop them finely first.
  • Inca berries, goji berries or pieces of apricot also taste delicious because of the balls. Use about 50 grams. You will then be able to make about 13 balls if you use the ingredients normally.
